If in the last edition, our effort for give a step more for the improvement of services was important, in this 4th edition we believe that it is the firm step to get in our Festival in good foresights for all of you. Actually, the important and the main objective of all the team who works throughout the year planning this Party, is providing a unique, different and familiar party. We know that since the first edition till the last one, the Festival has grown by huge steps. Anyway our objective of familiarity is there year after year.

In this edition, the Festival grows and “borns” with a new stage baptized as Xtreme Stage. This new space will be dedicated to the HardCore and all its slopes. Styles like FrenchCore, UK HardCore, Industrial, BreaKCore, Terror o SpeedCore take the remote of this new stage.

In conclusion, Out The Chapel, Hard Techno Stage y XtreMe Stage will be the three stages for the 4th edition of MontagOOd 2008.

One more year, we do not want to forget to give thanks to all of you who try to do the possible that we can celebrate this big party. Those who had been in whatever edition will be able to understand the reason for this “Big Party”.

The tiny village of Montagut was sacked and demolished in 1641 by the Felipe IV troops. After this war, the landlord of the “Montagut State”, who belonged to the LLeida’s Cathedral, tried to rebuild the village giving away fields and the facility to the families to build a new home. The people preferred to build the country houses on their own fields where they worked as no need to travel. So for that reason, the village has never been rebuilt.

To control the harvest and works from all the farmers of the country places there were several responsibles and managers. They and their family lived in the called “Montagut house”, place where is going to hold the 4th edition of the Montagood Festival 2008.

The Montagut’s, is a complex formed by Saint Ana Chapel of the 18th century and the annex buildings as houses, old school, garages and the weighing machine. At this place was where all the farmers brought all the harvest, they weight it and part from it was to pay the fields’ “rent”. All this arrangements were signed in an annual contract. This exploitation which was in the church hands will be lasted till 1967. After then, farmers and agricultures are owners of the fields worked during a lot of years.

Montagut’s was bought in 2004 by the town council of Alcarras.
